Ripley Arts Centre exhibition. Do not miss!

Vlaminck

He died in 1958. I was in the upper sixth doing art a level. We looked at his work and I was smitten. Working through 'The Fauve Landscape' by Judi Freeman this evening I found him again. Wonderful! 60 years have fallen away...

Royal Society of Watercolour Artists

Today I experienced a surfeit of pleasure. The Mall Galleries exhibition is worth a visit. Don't miss it.

Exhibition at Ripley Arts Centre

I attended the venue this evening and was pleasantly surprised. Using only one room limited the number of pieces on display but the show was tastefully hung. There was the usual range of subject matter, medium and quality reflecting BAS policy. The showcase of jewellery and knitting was a delight. There were very few members there - a disappointment. However, it was good to chat with folk.

This is amazing! The UK central government and local governments should take note, especially Bromley.

Return

Hello, fellow members.

I am alive and well again, so I should be sharing news and views soon.

My visit to the Pastel Society show at the Mall Galleries was stimulating. Being a Friend of the Mall Galleries, I attended the preview but did not stay for the formal opening and prize giving. My choice of best in show at least won a prize; it was the cheese on toast! I hope other members agreed that the use of pastels to generate the glow of the melt was outstanding.

Logging In

I am back but I cannot log on with my tablet. Desktop pc is fine as is my smartphone.

I must check cookies rules on my tablet.

I'm back!

Hello, fellow artists, Adrian has arranged my access to the Webpage again. I had forgotten and lost my password. So, expect a wee stir at some time.

The SAA has taken over a very good art sales company allowing members to offer work for sale. It is worth checking the SAA web presence for information. Members who register will get their subscription elevated to Gold level. It didn't work for me because I have Platinum membership already, which covers my rare one-man shows.
