Another couple of busy weeks lie ahead with little hope of slapping paint on canvas. For me, the exhibition at Denbies Wine Estate begins tomorrow, as I book into the excellent farmhouse B&B so that I can be there early on Monday to start hanging our show. Then on Monday, Sept. 5, I will show for yet another two weeks at the What If ... ? Gallery in Dartford with another local painter, Francis Pyka. Look him up on-line; I like his work. I'll be showing some large stuff from a few years ago that have not been out of my loft for a while. I have spent too much time exhibiting this year and enjoyed very little studio time. I really must get that sorted.

Malcolm, Fred, Arthur and I with Diane set up the show pretty well on Monday morning. It looks good but it does not have the impact of last year's show. There are far fewer works on display and they had to be spread out quite a bit. There is a lot of hanging space lying empty. Quite a lot of people had looked at the show by lunchtime today, Wednesday, but there has been no sales. BAS is heading towards a huge loss this time; there is no way that hanging fees will cover the cost.
