Rothko at Tate Modern

I never believed it when people told me that they had been moved to tears by Rothko's paintings. Now I do.
The exhibition at Tate Modern ends at the end of this month. My advice, after spending much of today there, is GO. Allow time to sit in front of any painting in room 3, 8 or 9. Empty your mind of everything else and just sit and look at it without being distracted by anything else. Watch the shapes and colours emerge. On the other hand, make time to study what's on offer in Room 4 and gain insights into how he did it.
This, for me, was a hugely spiritual experience. Call me crazy if you like but it's true.
