Sothebys Impressionist Sale

EXHIBITION of paintings in this sale. Your chance to see paintings that you will probably never be able to see again. Just wander in and look round. No charge. If you register with Sothebys website you can see the catalogue on site and get details of all future sales and exhibitions. Very useful. Whilst there it is always worth popping over the road to Richard Green and looking round his gallery. Do not be put off by having to ring the bell. They might ask if you require assistance, but just say you are looking around. Fine Art Society next door is also open to anyone who wants to look, as are most of the galleries in Cork Street. Just do not be shy !

Sotheby's Impressionist Auction.

Went along there today. Only highlights on view at moment including a lovely little Boudin. looked at catalogue and it looks really interesting. Some Renoir and Monet, but a lot of lesser Impressionists. Some interesting post impressionist painters including Van Dongen and someone who was popular in the 60's but seems to have fallen out of favour Bernard Buffet.
