I really value meeting other members on Wednesdays for the chance to share ideas on techniques and use of materials. It also forces me to get on with a work rather than just think about it!
I’ve always been interested in art and have visited exhibitions since childhood.
My preferred media are drawing and oils. I mostly work on subject matter from the natural world and would like to become more abstract – I love the work of Paul Nash and Ivon Hitchens, but I find that my pleasure in what I am portraying prevents this. I feel that by really observing and representing something it becomes part of oneself.
