2023 Programme

Thursday 8th June – A special workshop by Susan Clare.

As part of our programme to encourage new members and widen Bromley Art Society’s offerings to existing members we are looking at additionally organising workshops and life classes for members and friends.

Recently Susan Clare was our 1st Friday demonstrator at the Daylight Inn. Susan had excellent feedback and we had been asked if there could be a follow-up workshop for members.

I pleased to say that we have now organised this to be held at the Drawing Room at Ripley Art Centre on Thursday 8th June 10am until 3pm.

The doors will open around 9:30 for the workshop to begin promptly at 10am. There will be a break for lunch around 12 Noon – 1pm and then the workshop will end promptly at 3pm. Tea, coffee and biscuits wil be provided but you are welcome to bring your own lunch refreshments and both the Kitchen and the gardens (which the Drawing room opens out onto) will be available to us during the lunch break. The subject of the workshop can be adapted at this stage but it is likely to be semi-abstract acrylics. A required materials list to bring along will be provided nearer the time.

This will be a non-profit event but one that we will never the less need to charge for attending the workshop. We are looking for an optimum of 15 people and places will be on a first come basis. This has now been reached but if you are interested there may still be room to squeeze you in.

Entrance fee is £28:00 pp for the day and will need to be pre-booked.

This will be the first workshop that Bromley Art Society will have staged, that I am aware of, so we need to gauge memberships interest.
